Write the quadratic function that has x-intercepts at x=-2 and x=6. Find the x and y coordinates of the vertex of the function you wrote. Is it concave up, concave down, or neither?

Find the x and y coordinates of the vertex of the function you wrote.

Is it concave up, concave down, or neither? \(\displaystyle \ \ \ \) <----- This question doesn't make sense.

As far as the vertex goes, at most that I can see that you can state about it with the information given is that

its x-coordinate is the average of the two x-values of the x-intercepts. That is, the x-coordinate of the vertex is 2.
