simplyfing an an addition of two fractions

you have to type two short tricks to crack age problems and go to 10:17 in the timer

i don't like his method because it is not consistent, but I was left with a doubt about the 8 that he came up with when solving for the second problem

Revisit this thread you made earlier today, and see why you're wrong. You made the same mistake I told you to fix with the exact same expression. The video might be right, but you wrote it here incorrectly.

[math](2 * 2/3)+2*2/5)*(4/15) is this what you're talking about?[/math]

you said this ''

Typo error or calculation error?
No, in the previous thread.

ohhh, (1/3 + 1/5) * 15=8/15 * 5
hey BBB, where is the glitch, buddy?

(4/3 + 4/5) = 4(1/3+1/5). The method that the used is called factoring.
Now (4/3 + 4/5)*15/4 = 4(1/3+1/5)*15/4 = (1/3+1/5)*15, since the 4's cancel out

2/ 4/15 =15/2 =0.3333

2/(4/15)=2.5
15 divided by 2 is less than 1? You have $15 that you share with your friend and you each get less than $1. Is that because of inflation?

2/ 4/15 =15/2 is NOT correct.

2/(4/15)=2.5 is Not correct.

Eddy, you are trying to study algebra but your arithmetic is simply awful!
