Quadratic Inequality

I hate testing values and never like using it.
I ask my class when is x+5 >0? Students can do this and say when x>-5. So in the standard table that everyone uses here they put + for the intervals where x>-5 and negative signs elsewhere.
I then ask when x-4>0. Students respond when x>4. They then put + signs in all intervals when x>4 and - signs elsewhere.

In this way you do not have to test every cp in each and every interval.

And yes, for the students who can't solve these linear inequalities in their head I do algebraically solve things like x+5>0 and x-4>0 for x.

Am I right or wrong here?

Patrick is a tutor. He has lots of videos including calculus 1-3 and linear algebra but I prefer professor Leonard. BTW, I also like math tutor Jason Gibson. Both excellent at teaching math. Of course, professor Leonard is an actual college professor in California.

He is currently uploading an entire differential equations course one chapter at a time. He then plans to do the same with linear algebra, trigonometry, geometry, college algebra, precalculus, etc. He looks like Clark Kent. Look him up on youtube.
Jason Gibson is a bright guy but his videos are all so short. He sells a single 6 hour hour video for Calculus 1 and 2. How do you teach or even tutor a full year of college Calculus in 6 hours. I would never use his videos. My videos are the best by far but I will not (and never have) plugged them on this forum.

On the 7 train now. I will watch your video clips. Jason skips so many chapters in his videos of single and multivariable calculus. He selects easy questions. Jason's goal is to help students pass exams and understand classroom questions. He rarely touches on proofs.

Did you buy Jasons videos? Jason became a millionaire from the sales of his videos. He did a good job marketing them.

I purchased his videos many years ago but was highly disappointed. He rushes through textbook chapters and sections. Many important topics are left out. So, I decided to give my videos away to the Lehman College math lab to help students succeed in their math classes.

Doing laundry right now. At 2pm, I go to sleep as much as possible. I then get up at 8pm and 45 minutes later leave to work. Jomo, is it not easy sleeping during the day.

I live in a furnished room. One of my roommates does not work. She also has mental illness. I hate my life but right now, there is nothing else.

I have an appointment next Tuesday morning with the bank loan officer. I plan to borrow 5 thousand dollars. I need to move out of the Bronx. I am sick and tired of living in the ghettos of the worst borough in NYC, in my most honest opinion.
