Geometry Similarity

You know that each ratio is the same, right? So the ratio 2x/2 is equal to the ratio you just calculated.

Have you learned any algebra? Do you know how to simplify expressions?

This probably won't be how you work it out but it will prove [MATH]x[/MATH] is 1.5

 fraction{ b }{ a } = fraction{ sin beta }{ sin alpha } ; ; ; ; b = a * fraction{ sin beta }{ sin alpha } ; ; ; ; b = 3.6 * fraction{ sin 72° }{ sin 61° } = 3.91 ; ;
so side CB=3.9 putting that into [MATH]3x-0.6 [/MATH] you get [MATH]3\times1.5-0.6=3.9[/MATH] So that's correct!

 fraction{ c }{ a } = fraction{ sin gamma }{ sin alpha } ; ; ; ; c = a * fraction{ sin gamma }{ sin alpha } ; ; ; ; c = 3.6 * fraction{ sin 47° }{ sin 61° } = 3.01 ; ;
AB=?.so using [MATH]2x[/MATH] you get [MATH]2\times1.5=?[/MATH]. We can see from this [MATH]1.5[/MATH] suffices, both sides so is correct. Now state which answer on your list is right...and what AB equals.
