Find the centroid of the region bounded by the curves
x=2-y2
y=x
(please note X=...)

point of intersection : (-2, -2) and (1, 1)
Area= 9/2

i don't know how to find x and y values.

X = 1/A ∫(from a to b) x [f(x)-g(x)] dx
Y = 1/A ∫(from a to b) 1/2 [f(x)2-g(x)2] dx

Centroid X=2-y^2 and y=x

Hello,

please help.

Find the centroid of the region bounded by the curves x=2-y^2 and y=X

point of intersection : (-2,-2) and (1,1)

area= 9/4 (If my calculations are okay)

i do not know how to find X and y

x= 1/A ∫(from a to b) x [f(x)-g(x)] dx
y= 1/A ∫(from a to b) 1/2 [f(x)2-g(x)2] dx

tHank you!!!

You have been given the formulas for finding (x,y) of the centroid.

Where are you stuck?
