Thanks Steven G, I can kinda see that, but that gets a little too strange for me. It's seems to be adding numbers to the original equation for intellectual exercise not as a way to solve it, as far as I understand.
I'm just trying to learn this stuff so I can go on to practical uses.

All I did was multiply by 1.
