z-scores: convert raw scores, 18, 15, 26, 20, 21 to z-scores

I don't really get how to figure out z scroes.

Convert these raw scores to z-scores

18 15 26 20 21

So I found the Standard deviation which is 4.0620. I know that in order to find the z scores you need to divide something by the standard deviation. I just see in te example given by the text book that the numerator is x- xwith a line on top, but what is that suppose to be?

How do I figure out the numerator for z-scores?

To find the numerator, subtract the mean from each raw score.
