What was the "complete" question?

That's all she's got just a few problem all with x that have the line. She unfortunately doesn't have math book. She's telling me the x means the number is a negative. Doesn't make much since to me.

But there is no "question"? What is she supposed to do with the equation?

\(\displaystyle 2x+4 \ = \ 2(-x)\)

\(\displaystyle 2x+4 \ = \ -2x\)

\(\displaystyle 4x+4 \ = \ 0\)

\(\displaystyle 4x \ = \ -4\)

\(\displaystyle x \ = \ -1\)
