x-intercepts of y=x^3(x+2)(3x-1) (i got x = 0, 1/3,-2)

i need to find the x intercepts in y=x^3(x+2)(3x-1)

i multiplied (x+2)(3x-1) and got 3x^2+5x-2

i then factored it to (3x-1) and (x+2)

i got x=0 x=1/3 x=-2

Why would you multiply and then factor. It was factored already!
