Re: need help asap

Can you please tell us -

wut is the square root of -1

in a+bi

Re: need help asap

Let's go back to the first question. If you google "sqrt(-289)" you get back an answer of "17i". Now, how do you suppose you express 17i in the form a+bi? In other words, what are the values of a and b such that a+bi = 17i? It is obvious that b=17. What must a be?

Re: need help asap

You got a mathematical answer to your question.

I'd just like to say that when you are posting a question, it takes just ONE MORE KEYSTROKE to type "what" than it does to type "wut".....and I'm assuming that "wut" in your question means "what."

Believe it or not, there ARE people in this world (and prospective employers are some of them) who judge you by your use of the English language. So far as I know, "wut" is not a recognized word in standard English.

You can use "chat speak" to your heart's content when communicating with your friends. But...when asking for help on a forum like this (or applying for a job!!!) please realize that you ARE judged by the language you use.

(Climbing off soapbox now!)
