I need help with this problem write 5 fractions equivalent to 14 over 16

Just simplifying the fraction will give you one equivalent fraction. Multiplying by various forms of "1" (such as 2/2) will give you infinitely-many more equivalent fractions. So... Where are you stuck?

Please be complete. Thank you! :D

Remember to simplify a fraction by dividing the numerator (top number) and the denominator (bottom number) by the GCF (greatest common factor). The GCF of 14 and 16 is 2. So, divide 14 by 2 and 16 by 2 and you get 7/8.

7/8 is one of your five answers. To get four more just multiply 7 and 8 by any number you would like. For example, lets multiply the top and bottom by three. 7 X 3 = 21; 8 X 3 = 24. So another answer is 21/24.

Continue this process (multiplying the top and bottom by any whole number) until you get all five fractions you need.
