Mike wants to make a meatloaf with three pounds of meat. If he uses a three to one ratio of beef to pork, how much pork will he use? I do believe its a mixed number, but I can't seem to figure it out... will you help me??? :)
thank you

2 1/4 to 3/4

Works like this:
9 pounds: 3 to 4 ratio
9/7 *3 to 9/7 * 4

p pounds: a to b ratio
p/(a+b) * a to p/(a+b) * b

My grandmother's tourtieres (French Canadian meat pies) were the
other way around: 3 to 1 pork to beef
