A company that manufactures bicycles has a fixed cost of $140,000. It costs $60 to produce each bicycle. The total cost for the company is the sum of its fixed cost and variable costs. Write the total cost, C, as a function of the number of bicycles produced, x. Then find and interpret C(50).

C(x) = _____________________

C(50) = ____________________

A) It will cost that much to produce 50 bicycles.
or
B) $140,000 will purchase that many bicycles.

I honestly have tried everything with this problem and can't figure anything out. :( Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please show one thing you have tried.

Hint: If there were ONLY fixed costs, we would have C(x) = $140,000
