There are probably several ways to approach this problem. Here's one.

We could let r = ounces of rye flour needed for a loaf
Now, since the loaf weighs 32 oz in all, then 32 - r = ounces of whole wheat flour

We can set up a proportion:

rye/whole wheat = rye/whole wheat

1/4 = r / (32 - r)

Now, solve that proportion. The value of "r" is the number of ounces of rye flour you'll need. Don't forget that you're also asked for the amount of wheat flour...that will be (32 - r) ounces.
