I am not understanding how I would work this problem. I have tried to find a solutions in my text book but keep coming up with nothing. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank You in advance. :D

d) Suppose an investor has increased your budget by $22,250. The investor does not need to be repaid. Rather, he becomes part owner of your business. Will the investor contribute enough money to meet the cost of rent and utilities? Support your answer, and write an equation or inequality that illustrates your answer.

Hello AllieKat:

It looks (to me) like there might be additional information from parts (a), (b), and/or (c) that would make what you've posted for part (d) a complete question.

In other words, as I read it, part (d) asks whether or not the cost of rent and utilities exceeds $22,250. Does that answer depend on previous information? It seems so, since there's no way to determine the rent and utility costs, from what you've posted.

Perhaps, I'm misunderstanding something. Can you explain?

Cheers,
