I got this question wrong on the PSAT and I don't have a clue how to get figure out the answer.

At a party, there was one pizza for every 3 people, one salad for every 6 people, and one cake for every 8 people. If the total number of pizzas, salads and cakes was n, then, in terms of n, how many people were at the party?

Pizza: n/3 is a Whole Number
Salad: n/6 is a Whole Number
Cake: n/8 is a Whole Number

Is there a value for 'n' that makes all three Whole Numbers? There is not a unique answer. It is likely the question wants the LEAST such value.

... or the one answer among the choices offered (if the question was multiple choice) that is divisible by 3, 6, and 8.
