Hello guys and gals,
I have a word problem that i think the anwers are a typo. And there is no rounding in the problem.
"A tax-exempt school group recieved a bill of $236.47 for educational software. The bill incorrectly included sales tax of 7%. How much should the school group pay?"
Answer: $236.47 x .07 = $16.55, then subtract $16.55 from $236.47 = $219.92.
The answers i have to choose from are A) $31.57 B $15.47 C) $154.70 D) $ 221.00
Are the answers a typo ?
