Word Problem, Simple and not tricky

If it takes 10 minutes to complete one ticket, hour many hours will it take to complete 382 tickets?
You're right that this is simple. Please show us your attempt, so we can see where you need help with it (e.g. converting minutes to hours?). There are several ways you might do it, so I don't want to pick a way that might not be natural for you. And seeing your work, we'll be able to help you more thoroughly.

Yes, I'm so used to Excel, I am struggling to figure out the simple formula to convert the minutes to hours and then calculate the amount of time required.

As I said, there are several ways you could do this, and converting minutes to hours is not necessarily required.

One thing you could do is first find how many minutes it takes, and then convert that to hours.

Another way is to convert 10 minutes to a fraction of an hour, and work it out from there; but fractions would probably give you trouble. (I'd rather avoid them too.)

What I would be likely to do if you gave me this problem is to first find how many tickets are completed in an hour. Then I'd find how many times that has to be repeated.

It may also help us if you tell us the context of the problem. Are you taking a class (in what subject), or preparing for an exam, or actually completing tickets, or helping a child, or what? That might give us a better idea of how to help best.
