a box contains $6.20 in dimes and quarters. there are 32 coins in total.how many of each kind are there?

k i got Q=20 and D= 12 can anybody check this ansewer

.25Q+.10D=6.20

You have two variables. You need two equations.

Use substitution or elimination to find Q and D.

Why can't you check it yourself?

20 + 12 = 32 : correct :wink:

20 * .25 = 5.00
12 * .10 = 1.20
5.00 + 1.20 = 6.20 : correct :wink:
