Word Problem! PLEASE HELP!:) DESPERATE

Together, it takes 2 different sized hoses 40min to fill a pool. If it takes 60min for the larger one to fill it by itself, how long will it take the smaller one it fill it on its own?

I was thinking S*x+B*x=40 and B*x=60
But I do believe i'm wrong.

Change your units:

40 minutes / pool ==> 1 pool / 40 minutes = (1/40) pool / minute

60 minutes / pool ==> 1 pool / 60 minutes = (1/60) pool / minute

Now, we can just add.

1/60 + 1/T = 1/40, where T is the speed of the other hose.
