can someone help me i dont know what to do.......


The number of people, P, in a large office building, who will become infected by a strain of virus is given by:
P = 10e^0.478t - 10,
where t is in hours and t = 0 corresponds to the time that Infectious Ichabod enters the building at 8:00 am. How many people will be infected by 2:00 pm? Round to the nearest whole person.

a. 27
b. 58
c. 166
d. 202
e. 284
f. 448
g. 738
h. 1181
i. 2319
j. none of these
 
you should really use () if 0.478t - 10 is not ALL in the exponent or is it?

if it is, then the anwser is none of the above, if not ( which I suspect is the case ) the anwser is there but not f.

there are 2 steps in solving this problem:

1) Solve for t with the given information.
2) Sub that number in the equation for t and solve for P.

From 8:00 am to 2:00 pm is 6 hours: \(\displaystyle t\,=\,6\).

How hard can it be???

\(\displaystyle P\;=\;10e^{(0.478\,\times\,6)}\,-\,10\;=\;166.0177941\)

Answer: \(\displaystyle \;166\) . . . answer (c)
