In this word ladder, advance from PAWN to KING in five steps, changing one letter at a time to form a common English word at each step. We found two solutions.

Surely, you jest! But, if not, then know that British dialects and uncommon, Mafia slang are not allowed, heh.

(My answer contains 'KINS', which I'm told is a valid Scrabble word, but I didn't post my answer because I can't find KINS in a "real" dictionary.)

I am busy these days so I just went with the first I found.

PAWN to PAWS
PAWS to PANS
PANS to PANG
PANG to PING
PING to KING
