Determine who will feel colder: a per in Minneapolis at 10 degrees F with a 15 mph wind or a person in Chicago at 20 degrees F with a 25 mph wind.
Thanks-Caron:)
evidently I am supposed to use a wind chill formula developed by Paul Siple?...
Thanks-Caron

So what is the formula they've given you? How far have you gotten in applying it? Where are you stuck?

Thank you.

Eliz.

Well, what is the wind chill formula developed by Paul Siple?
If you are supposed to use it, then you must have been given it. Right?
You tell us!

This is the 'new' formula adapted by the National Weather Service in fall of 2001.

\(\displaystyle 35.74 + 0.6215T - 35.75V^{0.16} + 0.4275TV^{0.16}\)

T=temperature in Fahrenheit

V=velocity of wind in statute miles.

I'm not a meteorologist. I found this by doing a Google(USA Today).

Try that next time.
