The question is: How many revolutions will a car wheel of diameter 30 in. make as the car travels a distance of one mile?

I'm stumped on this one. I've tried plugging in what I have into a few different equations, but it doesn't seem like I have enough information to solve it. Thanks very much for the help.

Yes, there is enough info.

There are 63,360 inches in one mile.

The circumference of the wheel is \(\displaystyle 30{\pi}\approx 94.25 \;\ in\)

Thus, the number of revs is \(\displaystyle \frac{63,360}{30{\pi}}\approx 6,635\)
