Suppose a+b=x, tenx degrees= 1;
(square root of a) +b= a ,(a+b) squared= a
Compute the numerical values of a&b?

I don't know what the first line means, but it seems irrelevant, since the second line has two equations in two unknowns.

You can write them as

sqrt(a) + b = a
(a + b)^2 = a

which means

\(\displaystyle \sqrt{a} + b = a\)
\(\displaystyle (a + b)^2 = a\)

One way to solve this system is to solve the first equation for b, then substitute that in the second equation and solve for a.

The solution is rather trivial, though the work to get there may be unfamiliar to you. Give it a try and show us your work, or at least tell us where you are stuck and what you do know.
