I solved this on an Actuary website a few years ago and won a cool t-shirt for doing so. Ok, it wasn't cool. It was very cheesy, but still, it was a free t-shirt.

What are the next series of numbers that you would put on the line below:

1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221
1113213211
____________

(Oh, and if you solve it correctly I will tell you so, but don't say how you did it so others can try it themselves!)

I don't suppose I get a t-shirt though.

Now he wants two T-shirts!!!!!

Continuing Denis's T-shirt scavenging scheme:

11131221133112132113212221 (I may have lost count some where)

The above two on the nth iteration will be permutations of each other. Question, is there a formula for the length of the nth iteration (I really have no idea)?
