I solved this on an Actuary website a few years ago and won a cool t-shirt for doing so. Ok, it wasn't cool. It was very cheesy, but still, it was a free t-shirt.

What are the next series of numbers that you would put on the line below:

The above two on the nth iteration will be permutations of each other. Question, is there a formula for the length of the nth iteration (I really have no idea)?
