If f(x)= 3x^3 + 8x^2 - x + C and f(-2) =1, what is the value of C?
What I did is just plugged in -2 for x and made the whole equation equal to 1. When I did this I came up with C=-9. Am starting the equation right? Is -9 right? Any help would be great! Thank you.
