This is just a general question. I know i got to do the first part which is the f(x)+h-f(x) all over h. can anyone give me an example so i can understand more clearly
From the three mistakes that you've made in this thread, I get the impression that you're really lost.
I could suggest that you look for lessons and examples in your textbook on how to use a limit to calculate the slope of a tangent line to the graph of a function, but I believe that you should make an appointment to speak with your instructor, instead. I think you need a level of help greater than what I can provide to you at this time.
Please feel free to come back after you have a better idea about what you are supposed to be doing. At that time, please post a specific exercise, show any work that you're able to complete, and try to say something about why you're stuck.
