I just used a geometry software to draw it with different measures. For example I tried AB=10, the shaded region was 25, and when AB=20, the shaded region was 100 and for AB=30 the shaded region was 225 and finally for AB=40 the area was 400.Please enlighten us and comply with submission guidelines by showing us the different measures you have tried and the things you learned along the way.
AH can be any length. That's not very helpful. What geometry or trigonometry did you learn from that experiment?
Try this:
1) Mark off 10 from D, towards B, making a new point H between D and B.
2) What is the length of AH?
3) Create line segment CH.
Does that get us anywhere?
No it can't. If len(DH) is 10, AH has a specific length.AH can be any length.
I don't think it gets us anywhere.
