What do you use to create calculus worksheets/notes?

I'm wondering what the best software is to write worksheets or notes with integrals/Greek symbols and other mathematical notation. I'm looking for aesthetics mostly but user-friendliness is also a bonus. Can maple do it? I'm aware google docs also has a pretty decent tool as well.

I think this site uses python or something. What do you use?

Microsoft word can do it, select the insert functions option :)

As Daon stated, learn a little LaTex.

For instance, you can insert nice math font by typing the code.

Say we want to post an integral:

\(\displaystyle \displaystyle \int_{0}^{\infty}\frac{sin(ax)}{e^{x}+1}dx\)

(By the way, if anyone is up for the challenge, evaluate said integral).

How about a sum:

\(\displaystyle \displaystyle \sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\frac{1}{n^{2}}=\frac{{\pi}^{2}}{6}\)

If you get adept at it you can display all sorts of things. Tables, charts, diagrams, etc.

To see how I made the above display, click on 'quote' in this post.

Math Worksheets

The simply constructed traditional math worksheets only require students to focus on answering the problem. We need children to understand the concept, be engaged, and have fun doing it.

I use Libre Office. That's the successor of Open Office. (Have a look here: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/)

It is freeware, runs on Macs, Linux and even Window machines. The greatest advantage in my opinion is that you can create Microsoft files and pdf-files so my fellow colleagues are able to read my textes.
