Hi,
I have a very simple question. I have emailed the maths departments in several universities but have not received a reply.
The question is as follows. There are numbers, which are, for all integers N>1, the number of integers less than N, which are not multiples of the prime factors of N. All I want to know is what these numbers are called, so that I can find out about them on the Internet or from mathematics articles.
To clarify what these number are, if K(N) is one of these numbers, specific to an integer N > 1, and e is the number of elements in the set of all multiples of the prime factors of N, less than N, then
K(N) = (N - 1) - e
Many thanks.
