WHAT AM I DOING WRONG IN THESE TWO QUESTIONS?

I am trying to figure out what a variable is in the following:

If ES=3n+6 and EO = 8n-10, find n.

The parrallelogram is as follows.
Line EP=HO
and S is at the intersection . It looks like a kite.

I tried it this way and came up with fractions.

Subtract ES from E - 8n-10-3n+6, which leaves line SO = 5n-4.

Next:

Solve for X and Y in the parrallelogram:

I__________M angle m =12y+8

P___________A

angle p = 2x angle a = 5y+2

Setting angles M and A equal to each other will leave a fraction

Does anyone know how to draw lines on here?

What you posted is VERY unclear.
Do you know someone who can show you hands on how to post clearly?

No, I do not know anyone who can show me me how to post it clearly.

How would you do it if the first question was just a line segment and then you you have a point that is in the middle?

How would you do WHAT?

Look, we CANNOT help you unless your FULL problem is posted CLEARLY.

What would you say if someone asked you:
I bought 3 apples and had 27 cents left after paying for them:
how much does one apple cost?
