You have three hand counted samples of 1000 tickets. The first weighs .5204 lbs, the second weighs .5206 lbs and the third weighs .5207. What is the average weight of the three samples? How many tickets would there be in one pound of tickets based on this average?

Please show your work. If you cannot calculate the average of three values, you may be in the wrong class.

.5204+.5206+.5207/3=.5206

But how do I figure out how many tickets would be in one pound of tickets?

0.5206 pounds has 1000 tickets

1 pound has (1000/0.5206 =) ?? tickets
