Got this problem here and it's killing me, anyone would like to give a shot and help me? many thanks

given a cylinder lying on its side with radius a and length L. Determine the volume of the tank in terms of the height h.

Do you know how to find the volume in terms of V? Volume must be a cubic dimention, so you need to multiply 3 things--namely lengths.

With a cube, you multiply the height, the length and the width. You can look at this as (length x width) x height, or (Area x the height of that area). For a cylinder, what is the "area" and what is the "height"?

After this it is all algebra..
