I find that the best way of working with problems is to understand where the formulas come from so we'll start off with the meaning of volume, volume is the amount of space occupied by the object, so that would be the area times the high of the object. it makes sense if you look at the object. Your question does not say what kind of prism it is. If it is a rectangular prism then the volume would be equal to L*W*H

then

1) L*W*H=200 cm3 i don't know what kind of description they are asking for, but you could try to rearrange the equation to solve for each variable

2) L*4*H=200 solve for L and H see what they must be if you are given the volume and width

hope that helps!

Hi Luckygal. I seem to remember that you've been asked (more than once now) to please stop posting exercises without asking any questions or showing some work/thoughts.

Please stop doing this.

If you are unable to form any specific questions OR if you are unable to express any thoughts at all, then we cannot help you.

People who are completely lost must talk to their teacher or a face-to-face tutor. We cannot teach weeks of classroom material on these boards.

I hope that this is clear for you, now.
