Sketch the region, shading it in, and draw a dotted vertical line x=1. The radius of the circle any given point (x,y) goes around will be |x-1|, the horizontal distance from the point to that line.

Instead of rotating around the y-axis (x=0), you are rotating around the line x=1.
If you really prefer not to rotate around x=1, then you can shift all functions to the left 1 unit and then rotate around the y-axis.
