i just wanted to double check it has me confused.

A building material that has a moisture content of 20 per cent will lose three times more heat than when it is dry.

how do i write that as a ratio? (i think thats the right word or is it proportion)

i think its

20/300 right?

simplifies to
1/15
??

oops >< yeah

1:3 for 20% roger

so if has 20% moisture content it loses heat 3 times as fast compared to dry. But to work out how fast it loses heat when it has 1% moisture content do i just divide 1/20 then * by 300% so answer is 15?

if something has 1% moisture it will lose heat 15% faster than dry?
