hiya,

I have a helicoil surface that is parameterised by
bllcclajlnbgbibpijiellndik.gif

where
ijeejoibiolmdbfdphbikdbpkl.gif
and
ofcdnabpenilomipjahhdfnkde.gif
.

The question asked to calculate
gif.latex
and
gif.latex
. Which I got right.

Then the question asked to calculate the normal
gif.latex
cross
gif.latex
which I again got right.

The question then asked to calculate the surface area using the normal. Which I again got right.

But now its asking for the vertical height of the helicoil, am i am stumped on how to calculate this.

Can anybody help me calculate the vertical height of the helicoil?

Thanks

Look at the behavior of the "z" co-ordinate.

Ok I got it 3*2*pi is the vertical height.

Thanks Subhotosh Khan!
