Verify Inverse Functions and Graph Square root functions

How would i be able to verify these inverse functions?
f(x)=3x-1 g(x)=1/3x +1/3

Also, how do i Graph Square root and Cube root Functions?? :?:

If they are inverse functions, they should exhibit this property, f(g(x)) = x

f(g(x)) = 3(1/3x +1/3)-1 = x + 1 - 1 = x -- That looks pretty good.

To find an inverse function, if it exists, resort to Swap and Solve.

If f(x) y = 3x-1, the the inverse relation is x = 3y-1

Solving for y
x = 3y-1
x+1 = 3y
x/3 + 1/3 = y = g(x)
