Hello all! I wouldn't be asking for this if I wasn't in need of help. This is my third time attempting to complete these problems, but I keep getting them all wrong!

5) A veterinarian surveys 25 of his patrons. He discovers that 14 have dogs, 10 have cats, and 5 have fish. Four patrons have both dogs and cats. Three have dogs and fish. Two have a cat and fish. 2 patrons have all three types of pets.

Determine the following probabilities:

P(C U D)=_
P(D)'=_
P(F' ∩ D)=_

Thanks in advance!

In the first one, how many are in the class?
What does \(21+13=~?\) So how many study both languages?
So how many study French but not Spanish? Is that \(S^{\prime}~?\)

In order to help you not get them wrong, we need to see your wrong answers! Just giving you answers won't help you, and we can't tell where to offer hints.

We'll want to take the problems one at a time, too, to avoid confusion.

#1) Draw a v-d for this situation. This basically means to answer pka's questions. Possibly you do not even need a v-d but it always help.

All the rest. Draw a V-D.

Please let's work on number 1 first. Then we will go to number 2.
