Use the Distributive Property to simplify the following:

1) -2(y + 4)

2) -3(-3 -2 + 2z)

The Distributive Property is fairly striaghtforward:

. . . . .a(b + c) = a(b) + a(c) = ab + ac

Where are you stuck on simplifying these two exercises?

Please be specific. Thank you.

Eliz.
