I really need help with this problem! It's due tomorrow and I can't get it and neither can either of my parents! PLEASE HELP!

Write an equation of the line that passes through poin P and is parallel to the line with the given equation.
P(-3,6), y= -x-5

In the slope-intercept form "y = mx + b", the slope is "m". So read off the slope of the line.

Parallel lines have the same slope, so now you have the slope for the line you need to find.

Take the x,y-point and the slope m, plug the values for "x", "y", and "m" into the slope-intercept form, and solve for the y-intercept "b". Then rewrite the equation, inserting the now known values for m and b.
