I have this problem, and have no idea how to solve it....


28(2 1/7)

Can anyone help?
 
Assuming your subject line refers to your post (and they frequently don't, so I apologize if this is in error), they're wanting you to remember that a mixed number is the sum of a whole number and a fraction:

. . . . .28(2_1/7) = 28(2 + 1/7)

Now use the Distributive Law to multiply the 28 through the parentheses.

let A=28 B=2 C=
28[2+1/7]=28[2] + 28[1/7]
28[2 1/7] = 56 + 4
28[2 1/7] = 60
