Hi i trying to solve these 2 questions, but i really dont know where to start from!!

2(1) + 2(4) + 2(7) + ⋯ + 2(3? − 2) = 3?2 − ?.

and

1(1!) + 2(2!) + 3(3!) + ⋯ + ?(?!) = (? + 1)! − 1

Your help would be really nice :)

Hi i trying to solve these 2 questions, but i really dont know where to start from!!
One "solves" equations; one "answers" questions; one "proves" (or disproves) identities. Which process is specified in the instructions?

1. 2(1) + 2(4) + 2(7) + ⋯ + 2(3? − 2) = 3?2 − ?.

2. 1(1!) + 2(2!) + 3(3!) + ⋯ + ?(?!) = (? + 1)! − 1
Are you maybe expected to "prove or disprove", perhaps by "using induction"? If so, where are you stuck in the process (here)? If not, what are you expected to be doing with these? Please be complete. Thank you! ;)
