Unusual Number 3435 ?

Does anyone know why number, 3435 is unusual? According to my math teacher by trying different combinations of exponents with each of the four digists, alone with addition will give me the answser. I do not understand. Help please! Thanks, Pat Barnard

I believe that your instructor is trying to say that adding the four powers will give you the number.

In other words, can you determine the exponents such that the following equation is true?

3[sup:d744fght]?[/sup:d744fght] + 4[sup:d744fght]?[/sup:d744fght] + 3[sup:d744fght]?[/sup:d744fght] + 5[sup:d744fght]?[/sup:d744fght] = 3435

(Hint: try patterns.)

3x3x3 = 27
4x4x4x4 = 256
3x3x3 = 27
5x5x5x5x5 =3125
Total =3435
