Try to solve this problem! (really funny n interesting!!)

there is 3 prisoners in the jail.
1st prisoner has good eyes, 2nd prisoner has a half blind eye and the 3rd prisoner has blind eyes.

The jailer had 5 hats, 3 white and 2 red and he placed a hat on each prisoner's head and asked them to guess the color of their hat.
...
...
The 1st prisoner said= i can't guess the color of my hat. the 2nd prisoner couldn't guess either.
At this moment the 3rd prisoner smiled and said Aha!! I know the color of my hat.

Question= What was the color and how did he know it?

Ignoring the half blind eye 'cause I'm not sure what that means:
The first didn't see two white or he would know his was red.
If the second saw a white on the third he would know his was not white from the first not knowing so he saw red on third.
Third says red.

correction for the problem: half blind eye is one of his eyes is blind.

sorry about that.
but i think the normal prison and the prison who one of his eyes is blind we can put them to the same category.

anybody can answer that question?
if so, please tell me.
my answer is white, but i'm not sure it's correct or not.
