Nope. Can't read it at all. Try again. Show YOUR work. You can't have nothing.

Sure, Borregom. Where did you get stuck?

In the first exercise, they've given a partial graph of y=tan(x), plotted from x=-2pi to x=2pi. Their graph has vertical grid lines shown at multiples of pi/4. You're asked to state some properties about the tangent function, using the graph to get values for calculations. Which of the following properties have you learned? Did you start work on some of them?

Amplitude
General equation of asymptotes
Domain
Range
Period
Zeros

Here's something to think about, regarding amplitude. If you understand the definition of amplitude, then you know it's the height of a wave (measured from the horizontal midline). Amplitude is always a Real number. What happens, when you try to measure the height of tan(x). What can we say about amplitude, as it applies to trig functions?

Please get back to us with your beginning thoughts on this assignment, and we can go from there. If there are words you don't understand, and you can't find definitions in your textbook (or if you need help understanding a definition or lesson), let us know.

A sinusoidal graph is also given. That exercise wants you to write a sine function to match the graph, in a standard form:

y = a sin(b[x + c]) + d

Have you learned the definitions for the parameters a,b,c,d?

Symbol a represents the amplitude. Try to measure it, from the graph. What do you get?

Symbol b is related to the period. Can you measure the period, from the graph?

Please let us know what parts you need help with. Thanks
