I'm really stumped on this one and need to find the answer asap. Please help.

3 = 1.2 cos x + v cos30
0 = 1.2 sin x - v sin 30

Solve for x and v. Please explain how you got to the answer or show work so I can understand it. Thanks

If only we could tell what you mean.

Do you mean cos(x+v)cos(30º)?

Here let me fix that a bit

3 = 1.2(cosx) + v(cos30)
0 = 1.2(sinx) - v(sin30)

Solve for the values of x & v

I think there simultaneous equations but I can't figure it out

First eliminate 'v'

3 *sin(30) = 1.2{cos x * sin 30 + sin x * cos 30}

3/2.4 = sin (x+ 30) -----------------------> not possible
