I understand that this may be a trivial question for you. Yet I would very much appreciate your prompt help on these questions, please.
Given a time series(assume 222332222),
(A) How can one determine if the time series exhibits a trend (and hence the need for trend component analysis) using t-distribution only? Can you please show me how this can be done on the above series?
(B) Once we have asserted that it exhibits a trend, how can we remove the trend or in other words de-trend the series? I am aware that there is one method that employs the mean of the series and removes the mean from the original series to detrend the series. Can you please show me how this is done by an example of the above series, please?
(C) How can we determine if a series exhibits seasonality components? If it does, how can we remove it? I am aware that one method is employs the mean of the series to remove it. I want to pursue that method ONLY.
I would appreciate your help on these questions from the depth of my heart. Please do reply to me.
