I really need to know the answers to these three questions otherwise, I can't get done math problems, thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with these problems.

Is a similarity transformation also a congruent transformation?

Can the center of a dilation be its own image?

And is the scale factor of a dilation always positive?

What are the definitions of "similarity transformation", "congruent transformation", "center of a dilation", "image of a dilation", and "scale factor of a dilation"? (I suspect that the answers lie within the definitions, is why I ask.)

Thank you.

Eliz.

NOT USUALLY! Only in case r=1.

Can the center of a dilation be its own image?
The center is always its own image: the center of a dilation is invariant!

And is the scale factor of a dilation always positive?
NO INDEED!
